Possible Video Game Idea

It's been a while since I posted anything, so I'll get these ideas down while they're in my head.

Lately I have been thinking up ideas for a possible video game, called "Urban Vigilante." It would be a one to four player game for Xbox 360, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3, Wii, and maybe PCs.

The basic premise of the game is you being the hero, literally. You can play as the vigilant crime-fighter, super-powered or not, and kick bad guy butt all across the city. You will have to deal with all the problems a vigilante would have, such as bad press, super villians, and protecting your secret identity. Some of the major features would include:

  • Being able to create a costume for your hero from scratch, invent a sweet name, and figure out what powers or fighting skills and/or gadgets your hero has, and how they got them.
  • Being able to plant your hero in different cities as their hometowns, such as New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, Dallas, Orlando, Minneapolis, Washington, and Denver; which means then that you can visit landmarks and famous locations from each city in your hero's own unique style by swinging, jumping, using grappling hooks, et cetera.
  • Unlocking and using different combat moves that conform to your hero's crime-fighting style.
  • Being able to team up with other heroes to fight crime. This is where the multiplayer aspect comes in.
  • Maybe going as far as having different levels or chapters. Such would include a level where you have to crawl around an old warehouse hideout and beat up thugs, a level where you can chase goons around a sewer, a few levels where your could climb up skyscrapers and travel around the city freely and stop muggings and such, a level where you could visit all the above said famous areas and buildings of the city, and maybe even a level where you can sneak around a highly-protected office building or go down by the waterside to a bar in disguise to try to get some info on your old archenemy.
If this idea ever was turned into a video game, I would probably be the first to buy it!
